Pizza-Style Samosa for Ramadan Suhoor


Add variety to your Ramadan table with a delicious twist on a classic appetizer. These pizza-style samosas combine the crispy goodness of traditional samosa pastry with flavorful pizza-inspired fillings, making them a tasty and satisfying option for suhoor or as a warm snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack samosa pastry sheets (ready-made)

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 3 sausages, finely diced

  • 1 cup black olives, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

  • ½ onion, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon flour

  • ½ cup water

  • Plenty of vegetable oil for frying

Preparation Method

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.

  2. Add the diced sausage, black olives, tomato sauce, onion powder, salt, and Italian seasoning. Stir well to combine.

  3. Add the mozzarella cheese and mix until slightly melted. Remove from heat.

  4. In a small bowl, mix the flour with water to make a sealing paste. Set aside.

  5. Fill each samosa sheet with some of the pizza filling. Brush the edges with the flour mixture, then fold and seal into triangles.

  6. Heat plenty of oil for deep frying. Fry the samosas on both sides until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy.
