For the Dough
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon instant yeast
½ cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
For the Sauce
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 cup tomato sauce (ready-made)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon oregano
A pinch of salt
A pinch of black pepper
For the Topping
200 g sausage, sliced into rounds
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ bell pepper, sliced
¼ cup black olives, sliced
Preparation Method
Prepare the Dough
In a bowl, mix the yeast with warm water and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until activated.
Add the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Knead well until you get a smooth, soft dough.
Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour to rise.
Prepare the Sauce
Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
Add the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
Assemble the Pizza
Roll out the dough in a lightly oiled baking tray.
Spread the sauce evenly over the dough.
Add the sausage, bell pepper, olives, and finally the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Bake for 15–20 minutes until the crust is cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
