600 g shrimp, washed, peeled, and deveined
3 cups fresh basil leaves, washed
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
½ cup olive oil
Preparation Method
Place the basil leaves in a blender and blend on medium speed.
Add the garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper, blending continuously until the mixture becomes smooth like a purée.
Add the olive oil and blend until all ingredients are well combined.
Transfer the pesto sauce to a bowl and refrigerate.
Place the shrimp in a bowl, add 6 tablespoons of the pesto sauce, mix well, and let marinate for 30 minutes.
Preheat the grill, thread the shrimp onto wooden skewers, and grill for about 3 minutes on each side.
Remove the shrimp from the skewers, place them in a bowl, add the remaining pesto sauce, mix gently, then transfer to a serving dish and serve.
