Ingredients – Chocolate Pumpkin Cake
1 cup pumpkin (cooked and mashed)
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
½ cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (optional)
How to Prepare Chocolate Pumpkin Cake
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a cake pan with butter and lightly dust with flour.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until the mixture becomes creamy.
Add the oil and mix well until combined.
Add the mashed pumpkin and stir until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
