Ready-to-Serve Salep Drink

Salep is a warm winter beverage that provides a comforting and energizing feeling. With simple steps, here’s the best way to prepare homemade salep, inspired by “Nadormagazine.”

Serves: 5 people

Ingredients for Ready-to-Serve Salep Drink:

  • 4 tbsp salep powder

  • 3½ cups milk

  • 1 tsp rose water

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • Ground cinnamon, as needed (for garnish)

  • ¼ cup nuts (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Pour 3 cups of milk into a pot and heat over medium heat.

  2. Add sugar to the milk and stir well until dissolved.

  3. Dissolve the salep in the remaining ½ cup of cold milk, then add it to the pot.

  4. Add rose water and continue stirring until the mixture is well combined, thickens, and comes to a gentle boil.

  5. Prepare serving bowls, pour the salep evenly, and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nuts as desired.
