📝 Ingredients

For the Kudu Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

For the Sandwich:

  • 500 g chicken breast, cut into thin strips

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • 4 sandwich rolls (sub rolls or soft baguette)

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Prepare the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and ketchup. Set aside.

  2. Cook the veggies:
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, sauté for 3–5 minutes until slightly softened.

  3. Cook the chicken:
Add chicken strips to the skillet. Stir-fry until golden and cooked through.

  4. Add the sauce:
Pour the prepared Kudu sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well and let it cook for 5–7 minutes until the chicken absorbs the flavors and the sauce thickens slightly.

  5. Assemble the sandwiches:
Lightly toast the rolls if desired. Place a slice of cheddar cheese inside each roll, then fill with the hot chicken mixture.

  6. Serve:
Enjoy immediately with French fries or a fresh salad on the side.
