Heavy cream: 1½ cups (liquid)

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla. Whisk well by hand until the mixture becomes creamy.

Heat the cream over medium-low heat until hot.

Gradually pour the hot cream into the egg mixture while continuing to whisk until fully combined.

Pour the mixture into a large baking dish or small individual ramekins, as desired. Place them in a deep baking tray and pour hot water into the tray until it reaches halfway up the sides of the dishes.
