Shrimp with Pesto Sauce

Pesto sauce is one of the famous Italian sauces, deliciously versatile. It can be served with pasta, chicken, or even seafood like shrimp.

Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Serves: 4 people

Ingredients:

  • Shrimp: 700 g (peeled, deveined, washed)

  • Cumin: a pinch (ground)

  • Salt: to taste

  • Black pepper: to taste (ground)

  • Basil: 3 cups (leaves, washed)

  • Garlic: 1 teaspoon (minced)

  • Olive oil: ½ cup

Instructions:

  1. Place the basil leaves in a blender and blend on medium speed.

  2. Add the garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper while blending continuously. Be careful not to make the mixture too smooth like a puree.

  3. Gradually add the olive oil and blend until the ingredients are well combined.

  4. Pour the sauce into a small bowl and refrigerate.

  5. Place the shrimp in a bowl, add 6 tablespoons of the pesto sauce, and mix.

  6. Let it sit for 30 minutes.

  7. Preheat the grill to high heat, skewer the shrimp onto wooden sticks, and grill for 3 minutes on each side.

  8. Remove the shrimp from the skewers, place them in a bowl, add the remaining pesto sauce, and mix.

  9. Serve the shrimp on a serving plate and enjoy!
