  • Mushrooms: 1 cup (sliced)

  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons

  • Worcestershire sauce: 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic: 2 cloves (finely minced)

  • Unsalted butter: 3 tablespoons

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the beef:
Pat the beef slices dry and season them with salt and black pepper.

  2. Cook the beef:
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear the beef slices for 3–4 minutes on each side, then remove and set aside.

  3. Prepare the brown sauce:

    • In the same pan, heat olive oil and sauté the onion slices for 3 minutes until softened.

    • Add garlic and mushrooms, and cook for about 3 minutes until mushrooms are browned. Remove the mixture and set aside.

  4. Make the sauce base:

    • Melt butter in the same pan.

    • Add flour and stir well for 1 minute.

    • Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring continuously for 5 minutes until smooth and lump-free.

  5. Season the sauce:
Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

  6. Combine everything:
Return the seared beef and mushroom-onion mixture to the pan. Let it simmer over the brown sauce for 1 more minute, then remove from heat.

  7. Serve:
Transfer the beef with brown sauce to a serving dish and serve hot.
