4 tomatoes (grated) or ½ cup tomato sauce
1 onion (chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp oil
1 cup water
A pinch of sugar (to reduce acidity)

👩🍳 Method
In a food processor, mix the ground meat with rice, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, baking soda, and spices until well combined.
Shape the mixture into small, equal-sized balls.
Heat oil in a pan and lightly fry the kofta balls for 3–4 minutes until they firm up, then set aside.
To prepare the sauce: heat oil in a pot, add onion and sauté until soft.
Add garlic and tomatoes (or tomato sauce), and stir well.
Add salt, pepper, sugar, and water. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the kofta balls to the sauce, cover the pot, and cook on low heat for 20–25 minutes until fully cooked and flavors are well combined.
