700 g white fish fillets
4 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 lemon
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish – optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat, then add the garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
Grate the lemon zest and add it to the butter mixture.
Slice the lemon into thin rounds and arrange them at the bottom of a baking dish.
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper. Place them on top of the lemon slices.
Spoon or brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the fish.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the fish is tender and flakes easily with a fork.
Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
