  • Lemon juice: 2 tbsp

  • Garlic: 3 cloves, crushed

  • Salt: ½ tsp

  • Black pepper: ¼ tsp

  • Mixed spices: ½ tsp

  • Paprika: ½ tsp

  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, mix well to coat evenly, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight) for maximum flavor.

  3. Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (390°F).

  4. Soak wooden skewers in water for a few minutes to prevent burning. Thread the chicken cubes onto the skewers, alternating with bell pepper, tomato, and onion pieces.

  6. Serve the Shish Tawook hot with rice, salad, or Arabic bread, accompanied by tahini sauce or garlic sauce as desired.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.

  • Brush a little extra olive oil on the skewers while grilling to keep them juicy.

  • Pair with a refreshing cucumber-yogurt salad for a complete Ramadan meal.

This dish is easy to prepare, flavorful, and perfect for Ramadan iftar, making it a crowd-pleaser for family and friends.
