Semolina Dessert with Cream

Semolina dessert with cream is one of the famous Middle Eastern sweets known for its rich flavor and smooth texture. It is a delicious and light Ramadan dessert often served after iftar, as well as during gatherings and special occasions. It is easy to prepare and is best served chilled.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semolina

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 3 cups milk

  • 1 can cream

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • Pistachios, as desired (for garnish)

Preparation Method

  1. In a pot over medium heat, add the milk and sugar and stir well until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Add the semolina while stirring continuously until the mixture begins to thicken.

  3. Add the butter, vanilla, and baking powder, and stir until everything is well combined.

  4. Remove the pot from the heat, add the cream, and gently mix until fully incorporated.

  5. Pour the mixture into a serving dish and smooth the surface, or divide it into small dessert cups.

  6. Garnish with pistachios as desired and serve chilled. 🍮
