Fried Cheddar Cheese Sticks

Fried Cheddar Cheese Sticks are a delicious and popular Ramadan appetizer loved by both adults and children. They are known for their crispy golden coating on the outside and rich, melted cheese on the inside, and they can be easily prepared at home.

Ingredients

  • Cheddar cheese: 250 g (cut into sticks)

  • Flour: ½ cup

  • Eggs: 2 (beaten)

  • Breadcrumbs: 1 cup (fine)

  • Salt: a pinch

  • Black pepper: a pinch

  • Vegetable oil: as needed (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare three separate bowls:

    • In the first bowl, mix the flour with salt and black pepper.

    • In the second bowl, place the beaten eggs.

    • In the third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.

  2. Dip each cheese stick into the flour until it is fully coated.

  3. Next, dip the cheese into the beaten eggs, then coat it well with breadcrumbs.

  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan to 150°C (300°F).

  5. Fry the cheese sticks in batches until they turn golden and crispy.

  6. Remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to absorb the excess oil.

  7. Serve the fried cheddar cheese sticks hot with your favorite sauce or ketchup.
