Homemade Classic Crepes

Crepe batter belongs to the category of liquid batters cooked on a skillet, resulting in delicious thin pancakes that can be filled with a variety of sweet or savory fillings. Crepes are a popular and loved dish, especially for children.

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients for Homemade Classic Crepes:

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • ½ cup water

  • 2 tsp melted butter

  • 2 eggs

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.

  2. In a blender or mixing bowl, combine milk, water, melted butter, and eggs.

  3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the liquid ingredients and mix until smooth.

  4. Pour the batter into a bowl, cover, and let it rest for 60 minutes.

  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and pour in a scoop of batter.

  6. Tilt and rotate the pan to evenly spread the batter.

  7. Cook the crepe until the first side is done, then flip to cook the other side.

  8. Repeat until all the batter is used.

  9. Serve the crepes with fruit or any sauce of your choice.
