Garlic and Cheese Bread in the Oven

A quick and easy recipe for crispy bread flavored with garlic and butter, topped with a rich layer of melted cheese. Perfect as a side dish with soups or as a delicious snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette

  • 100 g unsalted butter

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 2½ cups mozzarella cheese (grated)

  • Parsley (for garnish, optional)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.

  2. Mix the butter, minced garlic, and salt until well combined.

  3. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise.

  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the bread.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes until the edges become crispy.

  6. Increase the oven temperature to 200°C, then sprinkle the cheese on top.

  7. Return the bread to the oven for 7–10 minutes until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.

  8. Garnish with parsley, slice, and serve hot.
