Ingredients
Dates: 2 cups (pitted and chopped, preferably soft dates)
Cream: 2 cans
Plain tea biscuits: 20 pieces
Butter: 2 tablespoons (melted)
Milk: 1/2 cup (for dipping biscuits)
Vanilla: 1 teaspoon
Nuts: as desired (for decoration)
Instructions
Place the dates and butter in a pan over low heat and stir until the mixture softens and turns into a smooth paste. Let it cool.
In a bowl, mix the cream with vanilla until well combined and smooth.
Quickly dip the tea biscuits in milk and arrange a layer in a serving dish.
Add a layer of the date mixture over the biscuits.
Add a layer of cream on top.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a cream layer on top.
Decorate with nuts as desired.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set, then serve chilled.
