Date and Cream Dessert

A quick, easy, and elegant dessert that combines rich flavor with high nutritional value thanks to dates. It is perfect for serving as a luxurious sweet treat alongside coffee.

Ingredients

  • Dates: 2 cups (pitted and chopped, preferably soft dates)

  • Cream: 2 cans

  • Plain tea biscuits: 20 pieces

  • Butter: 2 tablespoons (melted)

  • Milk: 1/2 cup (for dipping biscuits)

  • Vanilla: 1 teaspoon

  • Nuts: as desired (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Place the dates and butter in a pan over low heat and stir until the mixture softens and turns into a smooth paste. Let it cool.

  2. In a bowl, mix the cream with vanilla until well combined and smooth.

  3. Quickly dip the tea biscuits in milk and arrange a layer in a serving dish.

  4. Add a layer of the date mixture over the biscuits.

  5. Add a layer of cream on top.

  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a cream layer on top.

  7. Decorate with nuts as desired.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set, then serve chilled.
