Apple is currently working on making Siri more personalized by integrating the Gemini AI model from Google. Apple stated that Google’s technology offers the optimal solution for its core AI models. The company plans to launch this new Siri feature in 2026.
Apple-Google Partnership
The collaboration allows Apple to leverage Google Gemini along with its own cloud computing infrastructure for future AI models. This partnership is expected to continue for several years. Apple spent last year developing an AI-powered version of Siri that can perform tasks on behalf of users while understanding their personal context.
Siri Development with Gemini
According to The Verge, Apple is considering a customized version of Gemini to enhance Siri’s AI capabilities. One highlighted feature is “World Knowledge Answers”, which enables users to search for information and receive AI-generated summaries using results from the internet.
Google launched Gemini 3 in November, which quickly ranked among the top AI systems. Bloomberg reported that Apple has reorganized its AI team, replacing John Giannandrea, head of AI, with Mike Rockwell, head of Vision Pro.
New Apple Wallet Features
In December 2025, Apple introduced enhancements to Apple Wallet to improve user experience:
Order Tracking: Using Apple Intelligence, users can track purchases directly through Wallet without relying on external services. Wallet now extracts details automatically from emails received from sellers.
Digital ID Expansion: Apple developed a digital identity feature that covers checkpoints at over 250 U.S. airports, allowing more users to benefit from a unique identification system.
Apple’s move to integrate Google Gemini AI into Siri and expand Wallet’s capabilities underscores its commitment to personalized AI experiences and streamlined digital services for users.
