YouTube has announced the launch of its new annual summary feature, “YouTube Recap”, which allows users to review the content they watched on the platform throughout the year. This move expands upon the annual replay feature previously available on YouTube Music.
According to Al-Bawaba Tech, the new feature offers up to 12 personalized cards highlighting the user’s most-followed channels, interests, and evolving viewing habits, along with a personalized classification reflecting the type of content they prefer.
Some of the personalized categories include:
-
Skill Builders – for those drawn to educational content.
-
Joy Spreaders – for fans of positive content.
-
Rule Breakers – for followers of original and unconventional works.Other categories include Seeker of Wonder, Connector, and Dreamer.
Most-Played Audio Clips
Users can also discover their most-played audio tracks of the year, with detailed analytics available through YouTube Music, which rolled out a similar feature last week.
YouTube stated that the feature launch responds to user requests and that more than 50 prototypes were tested before finalizing the design. The feature is available from December 2, 2025, for North American users and will roll out globally during the same week, accessible via the Home page or the “You” tab on both mobile devices and computers.

-
MrBeast maintained the top spot for creators for the sixth consecutive year.
