Honey and Tea Cake

This cake combines the rich sweetness of honey with the warm aroma of tea, making it a delightful treat to serve your guests. Perfect as a cozy dessert or a tea-time snack.

  • Cooking Time: 60 minutes

  • Serves: 6 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ cup butter (melted)

  • ¾ cup natural honey

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup black tea (brewed and cooled)

  • ½ cup milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a cake pan with butter and dust lightly with flour.

  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, honey, and brown sugar using an electric mixer until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, and continue beating until combined.

  4. Add liquids: Gradually pour in the cooled tea and milk while mixing.

  5. Combine: Slowly fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until fully incorporated and smooth.

  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool & serve: Let the cake cool to room temperature before slicing and serving.

✨ Soft, moist, and fragrant, this Honey & Tea Cake is perfect with a cup of hot tea or coffee.

Would you like me to also suggest a frosting or glaze option (like a honey glaze or cream cheese topping) to make it even more indulgent?
