Homemade Bread Without Yeast

Bread is one of the most essential staple foods in the world. It is a main dish in most cultures and is prepared in many different ways. One of the easiest and quickest options is making bread dough without yeast.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (or margarine)

Preparation Method

  1. In a deep bowl, mix the flour with salt and vegetable shortening.

  2. Gradually pour in the water while kneading well until you get a non-sticky dough.

  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.

  4. Roll each portion with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface.

  5. Place each rolled piece in a skillet over low heat until the bread is cooked on both sides.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
