Mandarin Cookies

Try this delicious and simple recipe for Mandarin Cookies to delight your kids alongside their favorite juice. Cookies are one of the tastiest treats that are easy to prepare at home. Here’s how:

Serves: 5 people

Ingredients:

  • 200 g flour

  • 125 g sugar

  • 1 egg

  • Zest of 2 mandarins

  • Juice of 2 mandarins

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 125 g butter (softened)

  • A pinch of salt

Preparation:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.

  2. Add the egg and continue beating well until fully blended.

  3. In another bowl, sift the flour and add the baking powder, salt, and mandarin zest. Stir to combine.

  4. Add the butter-egg mixture to the flour mixture, then add the mandarin juice. Mix well until you get a firm dough.

  5. Divide the dough into medium-sized, equal balls and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them. Press each ball slightly to flatten into cookie shapes.

  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).

  7. Bake the cookies for about 10-15 minutes until done.

  8. Let the Mandarin Cookies cool before serving.
