Chocolate Cake with Crème Caramel

Ingredients:

  • Oil: 1¼ cups

  • Sugar: 1½ cups

  • Crème caramel mix: 1 packet

  • Water: 1 cup

  • Milk: ½ cup

  • Eggs: 3

  • Flour: 1½ cups

  • Baking powder: 1½ tablespoons

  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon

  • Butter: 2 tablespoons (for greasing the pan)

  • Flour: a pinch (for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the oil, sugar, crème caramel mix, water, and milk. Start mixing.

  3. Set aside 1 cup of this mixture in the fridge for later use.

  4. Add the eggs, flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract to the remaining mixture and mix well.

  5. Grease the cake pan with butter and dust lightly with flour, then pour the batter evenly into the pan.

  6. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through.

  7. Let the cake cool to room temperature, then pour the reserved crème caramel sauce over the top.

  8. Refrigerate the cake until fully set before serving. Serve chilled.
