Apple's Upcoming Foldable iPhone and Exciting New Features for 2025

It seems that next year will not see the long-awaited event related to the latest iPhone releases that millions around the world were expecting. However, this doesn't mean that Apple will stop releasing new products. On the contrary, according to the latest reports, the company is preparing to launch its first foldable iPhone, designed for easy handling.

Apple's Plan for the Foldable iPhone

According to Apple's plans, they are set to release the foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Air models. However, the launch of the standard iPhone 18 will be delayed until the spring of 2027, coinciding with the release of the iPhone 16E.

First Foldable iPhone

According to The Verge, the foldable iPhone will adopt a book-like design, rather than the traditional "clamshell" design. When folded, it will feature a 5.7-inch screen, and when opened, it will have a screen slightly less than 8 inches. In earlier statements, supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo explained that the phone's thickness will be between 4.5 and 4.8 mm when opened. The device will use Face ID instead of Touch ID.

Face ID Under the Screen for iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max

Additionally, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature Face ID sensors integrated under the screen, according to a report from The Information. This design will include a small cutout in the upper-left corner for the front-facing camera.

New App Store Rules

Apple has made changes to its App Store rules concerning external purchases. The update now allows users to be redirected outside of the Apple App Store for external purchases. These changes are part of a broader update to iOS 19, which helps users accomplish tasks more precisely and easily based on their personal data. It also facilitates executing complex commands that require interacting with various apps.

Siri and Smart Task Management

The new update will allow Apple's smart assistant, Siri, to leverage stored personal data to complete multiple tasks. For instance, you can ask Siri to play your favorite podcast, even if you can't remember its name. Siri will automatically collect the necessary data to find and play it for you.

In conclusion, although the major iPhone launch event may not take place next year, Apple continues to innovate with the introduction of a foldable iPhone and improvements to Siri and App Store functionality.
