Spinach Omelette for Suhoor: A Healthy and Delicious Choice

Omelette dishes in all their forms are considered healthy and tasty options for Suhoor during Ramadan due to their easy preparation. Try this spinach omelette, packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, making it a great addition to your Suhoor table.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spinach leaves (chopped)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (liquid)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 small tomato (diced)
  • 1 bell pepper (red or green, diced)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)

Instructions:

  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat, then add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
  2. Add the chopped spinach leaves, tomato cubes, and bell pepper cubes to the pan.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper, and stir the ingredients for 2 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk thoroughly, then pour this mixture over the spinach mixture in the pan without stirring. Try to spread the egg mixture evenly in the pan to form a large, round omelette. Reduce the heat and let the omelette cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese on top of the omelette and leave it on the heat for an additional minute.
  6. Transfer the spinach omelette to a serving plate and serve hot.
