Cheese-filled Goulash Fingers

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of ready-made phyllo dough (Goulash sheets)
  • 2 cups of cheese (grated, any kind you prefer)
  • ½ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, whisk the egg, salt, pepper, milk, and one tablespoon of melted butter together.

  2. Brush each sheet of phyllo dough with the egg mixture.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the grated cheese and chopped parsley.

  4. Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at one end of each phyllo sheet.

  5. Roll the phyllo sheet tightly into a finger shape, securing the filling inside.

  6. Grease a baking tray with a brush of melted butter.

  7. Place the cheese-filled goulash fingers on the tray.

  8. Brush the tops of the goulash fingers with the remaining egg mixture.

  9. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  10. Bake the goulash fingers for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  11. Serve the cheese-filled goulash fingers hot and enjoy!

These are perfect as a light snack or appetizer for any occasion.
