Ingredients:

2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of instant yeast
¼ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of sugar
½ cup of yogurt
Warm water (as needed, for kneading)
1 cup of date molasses
2 cups of vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions:

Prepare the dough:

In a deep mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and yogurt. Gradually add warm water, mixing continuously, until a smooth dough forms. The dough should be soft but not sticky.

Fry the luqaimat:

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over high heat. Once the oil is hot, use a teaspoon to take small portions of the dough and drop them gently into the oil.

Fry until golden:

Continue frying the dough balls in batches, ensuring they are golden and crisp on all sides.

Serve:

Once fried, remove the luqaimat from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Place them in a serving plate, then pour the date molasses generously over them. Optionally, garnish with crushed pistachios for an extra touch of flavor.
