Bread is a staple in many kitchens, used for sandwiches, dips, and alongside almost any meal. This recipe uses milk to make the bread more nutritious and delicious, even if eaten plain.
Ingredients:
-
1 cup warm milk
-
1 tablespoon yogurt
-
2½ cups all-purpose flour
-
1 tablespoon instant yeast
-
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions:
-
In a deep bowl, mix sugar, salt, vegetable oil, warm milk, and yogurt together.
-
Add the yeast and stir well until it dissolves.
-
Gradually add the flour, then knead with your hands until you get a soft, non-sticky dough.
-
Cover the dough and let it rest and rise until it doubles in size.
-
Divide the dough into 12 equal balls.
-
Roll out each ball into a circle on a floured surface.
-
Place the circles on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover the tray to prevent drying while you finish rolling all pieces.
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
-
Bake the tray in the oven for about 6 minutes, until the bread puffs up and is cooked through.
-
Serve warm.
