Energy healing is a set of techniques used to activate the body’s vital energy and restore balance. This form of healing dates back to ancient civilizations but has been developed and refined over recent decades into a modern practice.
Energy healing is based on the idea that the human body possesses a unique vital energy that flows through channels and organs, influencing overall health.
“Nadormagazine” interviewed energy healing specialist Nasreen Mardaa about energy healing, its effectiveness in treating various health conditions, and improving overall body health.

What is the concept of energy healing? How does it work?
From my experience, energy healing is about rebalancing the body’s energy fields. Every physical or emotional pain reflects a disruption in the energy flow. The healing process works by targeting energy centers and meridians to dissolve stuck knots and release suppressed emotions, allowing the body to activate its self-healing mechanisms.
Are there different types of energy healing? How do you choose the right type for each person?
Yes, there are many types, such as Reiki, sound healing, Shiatsu, Chinese medicine, and Thai healing like Chi Nei Tsang.
I am proud to be the first person in the Arab world certified in Thai healing, which treats the body’s diseases and releases fascia from trauma. This involves a specific abdominal massage called the “second brain” due to the emotions and trauma stored there.
I select the appropriate technique based on sensing the person’s condition, through checking organ pulses or their physical/emotional complaints. Sometimes I combine multiple methods in one session according to need.
What is the difference between energy healing and traditional psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy mainly addresses thoughts, behavior, and past experiences. Energy healing deals with the energetic information stored in the body — the "body memory" or lingering emotional impressions.
Sometimes an energy session reaches the root of the problem without needing words, speeding up emotional release and change on deeper levels.
Is energy healing based on recognized scientific principles?
Although many concepts in energy healing are still considered “complementary” in conventional medicine, recent studies have started to show physiological changes after energy healing sessions—such as changes in heart rate, pain reduction, and mood improvement. For me, the personal experience and visible results in treated individuals are the strongest proof.
When should energy healing be combined with traditional psychotherapy or psychiatric treatment?
I encourage combining both, especially for depression, trauma, or chronic emotional disorders.
Psychotherapy provides understanding and awareness, while energy healing opens the path to release emotions on a deeper level.
This combination creates balance between mind, body, and spirit, accelerating the healing process.
Are there clinical studies proving the effectiveness of energy healing in certain cases? What is the success rate?
Yes, clinical and experimental studies have begun to prove the effectiveness of energy healing, especially in reducing stress, improving sleep, and alleviating chronic pain. For example, techniques like Reiki and Therapeutic Touch have been used in hospitals in the US and Canada as complementary treatments with clear positive effects on anxiety and mental health.
However, in my experience, effectiveness is not just measured by numbers but by the profound transformation in the individual. I have witnessed healing in cases of intestinal inflammation and ulcers, uterine fibrosis, polycystic ovaries, benign thyroid lumps, persistent bleeding, various cancers, multiple sclerosis, hormonal disorders, severe depression, addiction, and other conditions — all thanks to God, with results documented in medical reports and test results.
