Cheesecake is one of the most popular desserts worldwide. It originates from Greece but became particularly famous in the United States, where it's often topped with fruits like strawberries and blueberries, as well as sauces like caramel and chocolate. Here’s a simple and easy recipe for a cold cheesecake.Prep Time:60 minutesServes:6 peopleIngredients:
Plain tea biscuits: 200 g (crushed)
Butter: 50 g (melted)
Cold milk: 1 ½ cups
Cream cheese: 1 cup
Cream: 1 cup
Whipping cream (chantilly): 300 g
Hot water: 2 cups
Cold water: ½ cup
Strawberry jelly: 2 packets
Strawberries: as desired (for decoration)
Instructions:
For the first layer:
In a bowl, mix the crushed biscuits and melted butter.
Rub the mixture with your hands until the biscuits absorb the butter.
Press the biscuit mixture firmly into the bottom of a cheesecake pan to form a crust.
For the second layer:
In a deep bowl, combine the cold milk, cream cheese, cream, and whipping cream.
Whisk the mixture with an electric mixer until it forms a smooth, creamy texture.
Spread the cream mixture evenly over the biscuit crust in the pan.
Refrigerate the pan for at least 4 hours, or until the cream layer firms up.
For the final layer:
In a separate bowl, add the hot water and strawberry jelly. Stir until the jelly dissolves completely.
Add the cold water and mix well. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to cool down.
Once the jelly mixture is cool, pour it evenly over the cream layer in the pan.
Return the cheesecake to the fridge and let it set until the jelly layer becomes firm.
For decoration:
Top the cheesecake with fresh strawberry slices or any other fruit of your choice.
Serve chilled and enjoy your delicious cheesecake!
