Ingredients:

For the Filling:

6 apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon

For the Pastry:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cold butter (cut into cubes)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
A pinch of salt

Instructions:

For the Pastry:

In a stand mixer, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt.
Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the egg and mix until a dough forms.
Shape the dough into a ball, cover it, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
For the Filling:
In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Roll out the chilled dough and fit it into a tart pan. Prick the bottom of the dough with a fork.
Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pastry.
Bake the tart in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the apples are tender.
Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
