Toasted Pasta (Pan-Fried Pasta)

Ingredients

  • 500 g pasta

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  • 2 cups hot chicken broth (or hot beef broth)

  • A pinch of salt

  • A pinch of black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon mixed spices

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat, then add the onion and sauté until softened.

  2. Add the garlic and stir briefly until fragrant.

  3. Add the pasta and stir continuously until lightly toasted and slightly golden in color.

  4. Mix in the tomato paste and stir well to coat the pasta.

  5. Pour in the hot broth, then season with salt, black pepper, and mixed spices.

  6. Cook over medium heat until the pasta absorbs the broth and becomes tender. Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 5 more minutes until fully cooked.

  7. Transfer the toasted pasta to a serving dish and serve hot.
