1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Lightly grease a cake pan with butter.
In a large bowl, beat the butter with brown sugar and white sugar using an electric mixer until creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla, and beat well until fully combined.
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter and egg mixture, stirring until smooth and well incorporated.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is lightly golden and the center remains soft.
Let the cake cool slightly, then slice and serve.
