Penne Pasta with Tomato, Olive, and Basil Sauce


A quick and healthy Italian pasta dish suitable for the whole family. This recipe features a fresh and rich flavor thanks to tomatoes and basil and makes a perfect light dinner for a cozy family evening.

Ingredients

  • 300 g penne pasta

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups tomatoes, crushed

  • 1 cup black olives, sliced

  • ½ cup fresh basil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of water, add salt, and cook the pasta until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until lightly golden.

  3. Add the crushed tomatoes and simmer over low heat for 5–10 minutes.

  4. Stir in the olives, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until evenly coated.

  6. Gently mix in fresh basil.

  7. Serve in plates, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and enjoy hot.
