Step 1: Prepare the Wheat
Rinse the wheat several times with water after sorting and cleaning it.
Soak the wheat in water in a suitable bowl for at least 4 hours.
During soaking, rinse it a few times and change the water more than once.
Place the wheat in a pot over medium heat.
Cover it with enough water and remove any foam that appears on the surface.
Cover the pot tightly and cook until the wheat becomes tender, adding water as needed.
Remove from heat and let it rest overnight until the grains double in size.
Step 2: Prepare Balila with Milk
Reheat the cooked wheat on the stove.
Add the milk, sugar, and coconut.
Stir well until combined and heated through.
Divide into serving bowls.
Garnish with nuts and raisins as desired.
