Garlic and Parsley French Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 potato

  • Salt, to taste

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • ¼ cup flour

  • 1 tsp mixed spices

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ cup parsley, finely chopped

  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel the potato and garlic, wash thoroughly, and cut the potato into long sticks.

  2. Wash the parsley leaves and chop them finely.

  3. Fill a pot with water, place it over medium heat, and add ½ tbsp of salt. Bring to a boil.

  4. Blanch the potato sticks in boiling water for a few seconds, then drain immediately. Rinse under running water.

  5. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, mixed spices, and black pepper.

  6. Coat the potato sticks in the flour-spice mixture, placing them in a separate bowl once coated. Repeat until all potato sticks are coated.

  7. Freeze the coated potatoes for 5 minutes.

  8. Heat oil in a frying pan until hot. Fry the potatoes until golden and crispy, stirring occasionally.

  9. Mash the garlic cloves thoroughly and rub over the hot fries.

  10. Sprinkle the chopped parsley on top and serve immediately.
