Moroccan Interns and Residents Announce Three-Day Nationwide Strike in Protest Against Government's Inaction

The National Committee of Interns and Residents in Morocco has decided to escalate their actions by holding a three-day nationwide strike in protest against the government's silence and its failure to respond positively to their demands.

According to a statement received by Nador Magazine, the healthcare professionals will begin their strike on Tuesday and continue until Thursday. The committee stated that this strike is a result of what they perceive as the authorities' persistent refusal to engage in dialogue, considering the lack of response to their demands as a clear indication of neglect and disregard for the legitimate concerns of a large segment of health professionals.

The statement clarified that the strike will exclude emergency services, intensive care, and on-call duties, in order to ensure patient safety and the continuity of essential services.

Furthermore, the National Committee of Interns and Residents holds the government and the relevant ministries fully responsible for the consequences of the tense situation that has been ongoing in the sector for some time.
